EVO2 is an updated version of the popular Cooltron Reco 60 room ventilation unit. Minimalist matt-white design and a new stylish remote control.

The highly popular Reco 60 has been renewed as the Reco 60 EVO2. The unit now features an elegant matt-white finish that blends better with Finnish home interiors. The EVO2 can be connected directly to a 230 V mains supply discreetly. The unit is still supplied with a plug, which remains the primary connection option. A completely new and more stylish remote control has also been developed for the unit.

In detached houses, ventilation can account for about 30–40% of energy use; with the Reco 60 EVO2 you can recover up to 90% of that energy. The Cooltron Reco 60 easily converts natural ventilation to mechanical ventilation. The unit is designed to provide continuous and controlled ventilation to the space where it is installed, bringing fresh air in and expelling exhaust air. The unit’s ceramic heat exchanger recovers heat from the exhaust air with up to 90% efficiency, so besides fresh indoor air you also gain savings on heating costs. In summer, the Reco 60 reduces the cooling need of an air-source heat pump, as the exhaust air cools the incoming warm air in the heat exchanger.

The Reco 60 is ideal for garages, storage rooms and cottages. It can also improve ventilation in detached houses that rely on natural ventilation. Larger spaces may require multiple units to achieve adequate ventilation. In that case, the units’ duty cycles can be timed so that some blow air out while others blow air in simultaneously.

The ventilation unit is designed for through-wall installation. Its telescopic structure allows installation in wall thicknesses of 250 mm–400 mm. For installation, a hole of d=165 mm is drilled in the wall. The unit is easy to power using the supplied plug from a wall socket.

The unit is sized for continuous operation and is therefore kept permanently connected to the mains. It is controlled with the supplied remote control or the buttons on the unit’s edge. The device significantly reduces heat loss, pollen, humidity and carbon dioxide, creating a pleasant indoor climate. The unit can be fitted with a separately sold HEPA 11 filter that effectively removes allergenic particles from room air.
