Ecological glamour: Arctic Kämp

Glamour camping, or glamping, has arrived in Finland and at Hyvän Kaupan Paikka. We didn’t stop at better tent fabric — we made the glamping accommodation even more stylish and durable. We decided to combine the traditional triangular tent form with ecological wood. The result is Arctic Kämp, an exclusive way to host guests or grandchildren in your own garden. Why not camp in your own yard and gaze at the blue sky through the characteristic triangular windows?

We merged the Vikings’ triangular structure with a minimal, modern Scandinavian design. Arctic Kämp attracts attention even outside, as the triangular shape is calmly elegant from every angle. If a traditional cottage does not please your eye, Arctic Kämp is what you’re looking for from a distinctive accommodation cabin.

Trendy and sturdy triangular structure

The ridge of the Arctic Kämp reaches 3.00 m, offering plenty of headroom despite its sloping form. The roof height creates a pleasant sense of space crowned by a striking window collage of four triangular windows. The windows are beautiful in the dimming evening light. Despite the 3.00 m ridge and airy feel, Arctic Kämp is easy to place on a small site on simple foundations. The triangular shape brings many advantages compared with more traditional construction.

Stylish and discreet when needed

Arctic Kämp is modern and minimal. It slips unobtrusively into a lakeside accommodation area or a small rental cabin village on a natural shore. The exterior can be painted any colour to blend with the landscape. Built from thick boards, Arctic Kämp is easy to assemble following the clear instructions.

Compact interior

Open the door to find compact interior space for sleeping, spending a summer day or sheltering from rain. A 140 cm plank bed placed in front of the windows also works as a seating area when furnished with cushions and throws. Delivery includes a 2.00 m bed platform, a table and two chairs, making the space versatile even without further furnishing. You must supply the mattress yourself, as sleeper preferences vary. The plank bed length is 205 cm, so a standard-length mattress fits comfortably.

In the photos Arctic Kämp is shown with accessories. The LED light string is not included, but the pictures give ideas for lighting if electricity is available. There are many rechargeable lighting solutions today that create a warm atmosphere inside Arctic Kämp. Whether you use candles, a LED storm lantern or a coloured light strip, the atmosphere inside Arctic Kämp is guaranteed. You will enjoy this excellent triangular cabin!

Hassle-free delivery to your garden

Arctic Kämp is not a small package; it has size and weight. Therefore we deliver the complete unit to your home. The roof felt is included. Foundation work is the customer’s responsibility, but foundations are simple to build for a rectangular base. The floor joists sit on a block foundation, on which the whole cabin is assembled. Delivery includes instructions and building-permit drawings on request, so when the delivery arrives you can start assembling your Arctic Kämp straight away. You will need a drill, screwdriver, hammer, saw, tape measure, pencil and steady enthusiasm. Always study the instructions carefully before starting any work.
