EVO2 is the updated version of the popular Cooltron Reco 60 room ventilation unit. Minimalist matte-white design and a new stylish remote control.

The popular Reco 60 has been refreshed to become Reco 60 EVO2. The unit now has a stylish matte-white finish that blends even better with Finnish home interiors. The EVO2 can be connected directly to a 230 V mains supply unobtrusively. The unit is still supplied with a plug, which is the primary connection option. A completely new and more elegant remote control has also been developed for the unit.

In detached houses, ventilation accounts for around 30–40% of energy consumption; with the Reco 60 EVO2 you can recover up to 90% of that energy. The Cooltron Reco 60 converts natural (passive) ventilation into mechanical ventilation easily. The unit is designed to provide continuous and controlled ventilation to the fitted space by bringing fresh air in and expelling exhaust air. The unit’s ceramic heat exchanger recovers heat from the exhaust air with up to 90% efficiency, so besides fresh indoor air you also get savings on heating costs. In summer the Reco 60 can reduce the cooling demand of a heat pump, as the exhaust air cools the warm incoming air in the exchanger.

Reco 60 is well suited for e.g. garages, storerooms and summer cottages. It can also improve ventilation in detached houses that rely on natural ventilation. Larger spaces may require multiple units to achieve sufficient ventilation. In that case the units’ duty cycles can be timed so some units exhaust while others supply air simultaneously.

The ventilation unit is designed for through-the-wall installation. Its telescopic structure allows installation in wall constructions 250 mm–400 mm thick. Installation requires a hole with d=165 mm in the wall. The unit is easy to power using the supplied plug directly from a socket.

The unit is sized for continuous operation and should remain connected to the mains. It is controlled by the supplied remote or by the buttons on the unit’s edge. The unit significantly reduces heat loss, pollen, humidity and carbon dioxide, creating a pleasant indoor climate. The unit can be fitted with a separately sold HEPA 11 filter, which effectively removes allergenic particles from indoor air.
