For sale: a route-sled 'Mercedes' in very good condition for its age and mileage!

Last weekend ridden just under 100 km, and everything worked as it should.


  • Just over 14,250 km on the clock.

  • Year 2012.

  • No defects affecting riding.

  • This isn't a bare-bones model. It features, among other things, a plastic skid plate and KYB shock absorbers.

  • According to previous owner(s) (receipts are not available for most items as maintenance was mainly done privately; some parts have receipts): Track mat replaced at around 8,000–9,000 km; in November 2024 the following were replaced/serviced: fuel filters (BRP), chaincase oil, Rave valves cleaned, clutch spring replaced (BRP), variator spring, QRS rollers (OEM), intake bellows (OEM, Bling-Factory), shock absorber service.

  • This winter: chaincase oil and other fluids checked (no leaks), small inline fuel filter between hoses replaced. Clutches cleaned/inspected/adjusted, and a new belt fitted during that service.

  • To my knowledge the engine has not been opened up.

  • Front windshield slightly cracked on one side. Not in the field of view and neatly repaired.

  • Engine: 594 cm³, petrol, 84 kW

Defects and other observations

  • Once the sled triggered the engine warning light in severe cold after it had been stuck in a water ditch early in the season. At that time it seemed a little water had entered the fuel system, as it did not run completely normally when very cold. When the engine warmed up and the sled was switched off, the warning light went out and there were no further problems. The light has not come on in the last month or two. The issue was not investigated further; no fault codes were shown, so moisture in a connector was the most likely cause.

  • One belt snapped in very cold conditions; afterwards the clutches were professionally cleaned/adjusted/checked. Since the service there have been no issues and the new belt has a few hundred kilometres on it.

  • One handguard plastic has a crack. It stays in place and is serviceable.

  • D.E.S.S. sometimes reports on start-up that it cannot connect to the sled. Twisting the key by a millimetre or so makes it work. This has never occurred while riding and is fairly common for machines of this age/mileage.

  • Small scratch on the instrument cluster.

  • Normal wear and tear from age and mileage.

  • The spare variator belt shown in the picture is in very poor/partly broken condition. It can be included if desired. The homemade tow hook shown in the picture is not part of the sale.

  • The mudguard is partially broken and secured with a zip tie on one side. Neatly done and may not be obvious in photos. It has lasted throughout the winter.

  • There are likely a few minor faults not listed, but they do not materially affect the value.
