EVO 2 is an updated version of the popular Cooltron Reco 60 room ventilation unit. Minimalist matte-white design and a new stylish remote control.

The popular Reco 60 was redesigned to become the Reco 60 EVO2. The unit now features an elegant matte-white finish that blends even better with Finnish home interiors. The EVO2 can be connected directly to a 230 V mains supply discreetly. The unit is still supplied with a plug, which is the primary connection option. A completely new, more stylish remote control has also been developed for the unit.

In detached houses ventilation accounts for around 30–40% of energy use; with the Reco 60 EVO2 you can recover up to 90% of that energy. The Cooltron Reco 60 converts gravity ventilation easily into mechanical ventilation. The unit is designed to provide continuous, controlled ventilation to the fitted space by bringing fresh air in and expelling extract air. The unit’s ceramic heat exchanger recovers heat from the extract air with up to 90% efficiency, so besides fresh indoor air you also get savings on heating costs. In summer the Reco 60 can reduce the cooling demand of an air-source heat pump, as the extract air cools the heat exchanger and cools the incoming air.

Reco 60 is ideal for, for example, garages, storage rooms and holiday cabins. It can also improve ventilation in detached houses that use gravity ventilation. Larger spaces may require multiple units to achieve adequate ventilation. In that case the units’ duty cycles can be timed so some blow out while others blow in simultaneously.

The ventilation unit is designed for through-wall installation. Its telescopic construction allows installation in wall structures 250 mm–400 mm thick. For installation a d=165 mm hole is made in the wall. The unit is easy to power via the supplied plug directly from a socket.

The unit is sized for continuous use and is therefore designed to remain connected to the mains at all times. It is controlled by the supplied remote or the buttons on the edge of the device. The unit significantly reduces heat loss, pollen, humidity and carbon dioxide, creating a pleasant indoor climate. The unit can be fitted with a separately sold HEPA 11 filter, which effectively removes allergenic particles from room air.
