A common problem with ON/OFF pumps is short running cycles in spring and autumn. Short cycles increase compressor starts; every start uses a lot of electricity and wears the compressor. When correctly sized, an inverter allows continuous heating for most of the heating season without interruptions.

The updated model includes an SG Ready function, allowing the heat pump’s consumption to be controlled according to spot electricity prices. The update also includes the EVU function as standard. The EVU function allows solar panels to be integrated into the heat pump system. The heat pump raises heating output when solar power is available.

Installation summary
This is a Monoblock unit, so flow and return pipes are brought from the heat pump to an indoor buffer tank. No separate indoor unit is required. The manufacturer recommends a 60–100 litre buffer tank. A circulation pump and a dirt separator must be installed on the pipe to the heat pump. The dirt separator filters metal and plastic residues and other impurities from the heating system fluid so they do not block the heat pump heat exchanger. An expansion vessel must also be connected if the system does not already have one.

A touch-display control panel is supplied and is installed inside the living area. Cable length over 5 metres.

If you intend to heat domestic hot water with the heat pump, a separate DHW cylinder is required. For sizing the cylinder, we recommend 50 litres per person. The cylinder must be equipped with a coil. The heat pump return pipe is connected to a three-way valve. The valve is controlled by three wires. The pump opens the valve to the DHW circuit when the cylinder temperature falls below the hysteresis. From the valve the flow pipes are connected to the buffer tank and the DHW cylinder. Returns from the DHW cylinder and the buffer tank must be free-flowing back to the heat pump.
