EVO2 is an updated version of the popular Cooltron Reco 60 room ventilation unit. Minimalist matt-white design and a new stylish remote control.

The popular Reco 60 has been refreshed and is now the Reco 60 EVO2. The unit features an elegant matt-white finish that integrates better with Finnish home interiors. The EVO2 can be connected directly to a 230 V mains supply discreetly. The unit is still supplied with a mains plug, which remains the primary connection option. A completely new, more stylish remote control has also been developed for the unit.

In detached houses ventilation accounts for roughly 30–40% of energy use; with the Reco 60 EVO2 you can recover up to 90% of that energy. The Cooltron Reco 60 easily converts a passive ventilation system into a mechanical one. The unit is designed to provide continuous, controlled ventilation to the installed space by bringing in fresh air and exhausting stale air. The unit’s ceramic heat exchanger recovers heat from the exhaust air with up to 90% efficiency, so alongside fresher indoor air you can see savings in heating costs. In summer the Reco 60 can also reduce the cooling demand of an air-source heat pump by cooling the incoming air via the heat exchanger using the exhaust air.

The Reco 60 is ideal for garages, storage spaces and holiday cottages. It can also improve ventilation in detached houses that use passive ventilation. Larger spaces may require multiple units to achieve sufficient ventilation; in that case the units’ work cycles can be timed so some exhaust while others supply fresh air at the same time.

The ventilation unit is designed for through-wall installation. A telescopic structure allows installation in wall constructions 250 mm–400 mm thick. A d=165 mm hole is required for installation. The unit is easy to power using the supplied mains plug directly from a socket.

The unit is sized for continuous use and is intended to remain connected to the mains. It is controlled with the supplied remote or via the buttons on the unit’s edge. The unit significantly reduces heat loss, pollen, moisture and carbon dioxide, creating a comfortable indoor climate. The unit can be fitted with a separately sold HEPA 11 filter to effectively remove allergenic particles from room air.
