Defects and other observations

We were replacing the upper control arms; the bolts snapped at the head and couldn't be removed — they need to be drilled out and replaced.

Possibly a new steering knuckle on the driver's side where the control arm attaches, but not necessarily?


But the new part is €200 on German and Estonian sites.


A fairly common fault on VAG cars.


Doesn't affect driving.


But I just drove the car 900 km.


When lightly pressing the brakes it vibrates — possibly a warped brake disc; there's occasional slight vibration, or it might be coming from the control arm, I don't know.


The upper control arms should be replaced.


The number plate light has burned out.
