ABOUT IONISATION:
Negative ions produced into indoor air cause light, positively charged airborne particles to cluster and fall out of the breathing zone more quickly, because the larger heavier particles descend faster.

Negative ionisation also breaks down volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in the air, which are harmful when inhaled. Toxic compounds produced by microbes (microbial toxins) mixed into indoor air as aerosols can cause serious health harm when they reach the lungs and bloodstream. Heavy microbial toxins that do not mix with indoor air typically cause harm via spores, which are the producers of these dangerous toxins.

The effectiveness of ozone (O3) and negative ionisation is based on achieving high concentrations.

When a device produces negative ions as well as ozone, the combined effect is 5–10 times more effective than ozone alone, and high concentrations remove spores and odours effectively even from porous materials, for example upholstered furniture and bedding.

Fine particles in indoor air pose a serious health risk in homes and workplaces.

Harmful fine particles travel with inhalation to the deep lungs (alveoli) and into the bloodstream, causing serious health problems in addition to asthma and allergies.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation work especially well in an overpressurised building.

    Ozone and negative ionisation together produce compounds that can effectively remove microbial spores and various odours, such as sewer gases, smoke smells, bacterial and mould toxins, and persistent cooking and tobacco odours.

    Ozone and negative ionisation also remove fine particles and MVOC and VOC compounds.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation result in a pleasant, easy-to-breathe indoor air; people feel comfortable in such clean spaces.

    Ozone and negative ionisation together produce very clean indoor air for workspaces as well.

Indoor ozonation cannot be performed while people are present because ozone is produced in high concentrations to destroy microbial spores. The combined effect of high ozone concentration and negative ionisation achieves good cleaning results even in porous materials. After air purification the space is ventilated and residents may return.
