Replacing one injector expanded into a full injector-replacement job. So 3 other injectors should be changed. The car smokes at idle and while driving. The injectors knock.


The car has service history and has been driven throughout its life. Timing cover was done in early 2022 at about 170,000 km.

Defects and other observations

Before listing the car for sale we performed a test drive and condition assessment and made the following observations:

  • Misfires and does not rev properly. Injectors 1 and 2 are clearly leaking.

  • Injector 1 replaced, 3 others need replacing.

  • Bodywork shows wear.

  • Emits smoke at idle and while driving.


We have not carried out a technical inspection at our initiative, nor have we tested the operation of all equipment.

There may be hidden defects that we did not detect during the test drive and inspection.
