Toyota Hiace, 2003, Oulu

A rock‑solid Toyota Hiace is looking for a new owner who values a functional, honest vehicle. It came to me in part‑exchange from someone I know, but I currently don’t need it. It’s not a showpiece (it’s dirty in the photos), but a practical and reliable workhorse. The Hiace is ready to drive away with no projects required. It does what it promises — suitable for work, hobbies or as a travel van.

The mechanics work as they should and the vehicle does not leak fluids. The timing assembly has been replaced and the engine and differential oils were recently changed. Filters have also been replaced and there are photos of the service work. The van has just passed inspection with a clean certificate, so there’s plenty of road time left. A CarVertical report is included, so the history is available. You can confidently take it on longer trips.

Additional lights and work lamps are fitted and operated by remote control. The load area has a PA heater with remote control that warms both the cargo space and the cab. There’s a new Bluetooth head unit for music and calls. Speakers have been upgraded and the doors soundproofed. Ride comfort is good for its age. The front torsion bar has been relaxed.

Two sets of tyres on wheels are included. The summer tyres have about 4–5 mm tread remaining on all wheels. The studded winter tyres are almost new and ready for winter. The vehicle has two keys, so there’s a spare. All electrics and equipment work as they should. The van has been used sensibly and not abused.

The underbody has been inspected and cleaned annually. After cleaning it is treated with tar to prevent rust. As a result the underside is in good condition for its age (see photos). It’s not new, but it’s been cared for. The body looks tidy for a work vehicle. Wear is normal for a Hiace of this age.

There are a few small dents that don’t affect use. The right front wing has a small area of surface rust. The driver’s seat is slightly worn, as is common in older work vans. These issues are reflected in the price. No hidden faults are known. Honest sale, no surprises. Come and view and test drive! Vehicle standing.
