The engine warning light had come on and the car is lacking power. Cylinder 2 shows significant misfires, with some also in cylinder 1. Compression in cylinder 2 is 7 bar. A leakage test shows gases clearly blowing into the crankcase — i.e. piston damage. The only real repair option is to fit a replacement engine.

On a short test drive we observed the following:

-The engine warning light had come on and the car is lacking power. Cylinder 2 shows significant misfires, with some also in cylinder 1. Compression in cylinder 2 is 7 bar. A leakage test shows gases clearly blowing into the crankcase — i.e. piston damage. The only real repair option is to fit a replacement engine.

We have not performed a full technical inspection nor tested the operation of all equipment. The car may have hidden faults that were not apparent during the test drive and inspection.
