Here’s a handsome Polaris Ranger 1000 with good equipment.

The look is completed by large 20" (51 cm) alloy wheels with studded tyres and inside you can enjoy music on a Pioneer unit. The cab can be warmed with a Defa interior heater before you set off and, of course, the cabin package also includes a heater.

Equipped with Polaris’s own cab, which is relatively quiet and can be used without the full metal cab. There’s an extra light at the front and work lights at the rear. The front has a large bumper and there are also nerf bars.

This is a nice one to take into town!

We have now replaced both front drive shafts and fitted a new valve cover gasket. The tailgate cables have been renewed and the switch for the passenger electric window has been replaced. So both windows open from the button.

There is no service book. The vehicle is in tidy condition for its mileage. It starts nicely and runs as it should.

With four-wheel drive engaged and when turning, there is a slight ticking noise from the front. Four-wheel drive does work and we don’t know what causes the noise. There is no noticeably excessive play in the front or the driveline. Perhaps there is some wear in the four-wheel-drive hub making the noise?

When rear-wheel drive is used nothing unusual is heard and on a roughly 5 km test run it felt good to drive. Given the mileage it’s to be expected there is wear in the drivetrain.
