Defects and other observations

- Braking test: FAILED (1st axle left wheel drags and with slight pressure there is 30% runout in the brakes. 2nd axle over 30% runout with braking forces under 4 kN. ALB valve fully open all the time)


CHASSIS:

- Rear leaks a lot of oil (drops to the floor and leaks from the seal)


Lights

- Right brake light not working

- Right rear parking light not working

- Right upper cab parking light not working

- Left headlight glass cracked

- Right headlight mounting loose (assembly wobbles badly)


SUPERSTRUCTURE / BODYWORK:

- Right underrun guard / rear mudguard mounting tube / metal torn

- Left underrun guard detached (rear bracket torn and others detached)

- Left front subframe bolt loose

CAB:

- Rust hole in the wheelbox on the left side of the cab floor


Test driven (+70 km/h the vehicle starts vibrating strongly, not felt in the steering)

--> vehicle lifted and underbody checked (no cause found) --> disassembled

the last driveshaft joint (universal joint heavily corroded, but not seized)

--> tyres checked (right front wheel secured with flange nuts and the wheel lacks centring cones. Tyre has 1.5 cm radial runout) --> proper centring cones and nuts required
