The inspection produced an extensive fault list. A new front brake caliper and brake pipe were fitted and it was thought to be resolved. However, the inspector — unusually compared with our past experience — noted a number of minor issues, many of which appear when a vehicle has been standing; this van has had very little use. An auxiliary double leaf spring (used leaf) was fitted some time ago and has now broken; it can be removed if desired as it was only an added reinforcement and was not part of the original suspension. The vehicle therefore has both rear springs relatively new. Also, all brakes were serviced at that time, so the handbrake fault is due to lack of use and requires adjustment. The windscreen washer fluid reservoir is frozen (summer fluid), but the system itself works. The engine oil leak will require at least a wash for the inspection and this has been noted. Some faults are quite trivial; the inspector is very thorough. With a bit of tidying this is a good vehicle, as the mechanicals are very good, the batteries are fine, and summer and winter tyres are OK — some are new, so there are two sets of tyres and rims (6 wheels in total). The van drives well and the clutch, gearbox and engine are in good condition.

The box body is approx. 4.5 m, about 2 m high. The body is insulated and fitted with a Webasto heater that works.
