Before putting the car up for sale we carried out a test drive and condition assessment, during which we noted the following:

The car hesitates and stutters when the accelerator is pressed, but runs fine on steady throttle; the engine warning light is on. The engine runs smoothly and does not knock.

Bonnet gas struts broken and bonnet has dents; also dents on the passenger‑side wing.
Battery poor.
Ignition lock sticks slightly; works when pressing the key.
Crack at the top edge of the windscreen; did not affect the MOT.
