A stylish 3-litre Mercedes with very rare equipment up for auction. The bodywork is tidy for its age; small damage on the arches, but no major rust or dents. Windscreen intact. Two good sets of tyres with alloy wheels. Both have good tread. Services have been done correctly and an electronic service book is available.

A DPF (diesel particulate filter) was fitted when a fault was suspected, but after the new DPF the engine causes soot build-up again. Therefore sold for repair. The engine runs normally and there are no significant noises. The chain does not rattle.

During a short test drive we made the following observations:

- Headlight broken

- Drives well; no vibration, but pulls to one side.
- Engine causes excessive soot build-up and the particulate filter blocks. This has not been investigated further.

No technical inspection was carried out by us and not all equipment functions were tested. The car may have hidden defects that were not identified during the test drive and inspection.
