The device is simple: once the felling direction is chosen and the required felling notch is cut, the wedge is inserted into the saw cut and the trigger is pressed. The threaded rod driven by the power tool pushes the wedge forward between the stainless steel plates, opening the saw cut and causing the tree to fall in the desired direction.

The mechanical felling director produces the force to fell trees precisely in the desired direction without tiring the cutter. The safety distance should be twice the length of the tree being felled. A single 4 Ah battery can fell dozens of trees.
