The device is simple to operate: once the chosen felling direction is decided and the required felling notch is cut, the wedge is inserted into the saw cut and the trigger is pressed, whereupon the threaded rod driven by the cordless tool pushes the wedge that moves between stainless steel lamellae forward, opening the saw cut and causing the tree to fall in the desired direction.

The mechanical felling director produces the force needed to fell trees precisely in the desired direction easily and without straining the cutter. The safety distance must be twice the length of the tree to be felled. A single 4 Ah battery can be used to fell dozens of trees.
