  • engageable locks on front and rear axles and centre differential — all working

  • front axle refurbished: bearings, seals, joints, drive gears, locking motor and painted with quality paint 6,000 km ago

  • timing belt replaced this autumn; valve clearances adjusted at the same time

  • new injector nozzles on all injectors this autumn

  • connecting-rod bearings replaced 6,000 km ago

  • new retro-style Blaupunkt CD player with Bluetooth, hands-free phone function and USB. New Ground Zero rear speakers in original positions.

  • gearbox works well, but third gear engages with a jolt. Hasn't bothered me; with throttle the gear engages smoothly

  • auxiliary lights operate via the stalk switch, and there is also a separate switch if you prefer them off

  • warm car and starts with a key touch in cold or hot weather

  • central locking works in summer but may fail to lock all doors in freezing conditions — some doors must be locked manually. Electric windows work for the driver and the right rear. Electric mirrors do not work. Seat heaters do not work.
