Additional information

A3 being auctioned with inspection valid until November! The body is in tidy condition. However, the engine has a fault and the car is therefore sold for repair or for parts!

The following text was received from the workshop:

"Compression pressure in the fourth cylinder is too low. Therefore it runs poorly/the engine warning light is on.
The cylinders have been inspected with a borescope.
There are small differences in cylinder 1 compared with the fourth cylinder. From the camera it is not possible to tell whether this is oil residue or a crack in the piston in the first cylinder. The fourth cylinder has been cleaned. After this it looks better. There are small scratches on the cylinder wall, but the camera cannot say whether they are severe enough to cause low compression.
So, combined the camera shows small differences compared with the other cylinders, but the camera cannot find the exact fault.

The only way to reveal the fault is to open and inspect the engine."

Several warning lights also came on while photographing the car (see photos)!

The workshop also provided a short defect list for the car; a photo of it is attached!
