When mains power fails in a monitored supply, the ATS detects the loss and signals the generator to start, restoring power to the electrical system within seconds. The ATS monitors the outage and, once it has confirmed that the mains voltage has returned to an acceptable level, it transfers the electrical load back to the mains and stops the generator. In normal standby mode the mains supplies 12 V via the ATS to the generator starter battery to keep it fully charged. Available separately.
