From daily driving to the next BMW.

The previous owner kept the car for as long as eight years. Now the car’s only issue is the right front headlight. The headlight has collected moisture and for that reason the daytime running light and the indicator are acting up. Both main headlights work.

Body: The body is in tidy condition and shows no major faults. Normal stone chips on the front but no dents or scratches. The car has been spared from rust. See pictures.

Interior: The interior is intact and the car is non-smoker. Normal wear from a family with children but nothing is broken. See pictures

Servicing: The car was serviced at an authorised dealer until 2020. After that a friend who previously worked as a BMW technician has serviced the car annually. It is due the next service now. See pictures

Tyres: Both sets are on BMW alloy wheels. Winter tyres are studless with remaining tread approx. 5–6 mm. Summer tyres have approx. 3–4 mm. So both will still do for a while. See pictures

Test drive/technical: I personally collected the car in Imatra and did a test drive around Imatra and between Imatra and Lappeenranta. Everything seems to work as it should (except the right daytime running light). On the motorway above 120 km/h a slight vibration may be noticeable but that’s about the only issue. The engine has good pull and the brakes have life. The gearbox shifts smoothly with no jerking or knocking.

By replacing the headlamp you can still have a very good car for a long time. A quick online check suggests a replacement costs only a few hundred euros.
