Up for auction is a very practical XC90, registered as a multi-purpose vehicle (tax-exempt!) and both rear seats are present. The previous owner mainly used it for towing horse trailers and other loads. Passed the last inspection with clean paperwork and technically nothing to complain about — it runs well and the gearbox works! Considering its age it's kept quite tidy, but there are small issues such as minor rust on the lower edge of the grille and a few rust spots on the front edge of the bonnet. The underbody is tidy and the wheel arches are rust-protected. No fault lights, except the warning "Parking assist requires service".


Pros:

  • Good service history and major services completed!

  • Air conditioning blows both cold and hot air

  • Towbar

  • Seat heaters and memory functions work

  • Tax-exempt!

  • 2x wheels with alloy rims

    Winters: Studded tyres with good tread approx. 6–7 mm.

    Summers: Good approx. 5–6 mm

  • Headlights don't collect moisture

  • Surprisingly tidy body

  • Interior shows the miles but is reasonably tidy

  • Technically sound, runs very well.


Cons:

  • Right windscreen wiper doesn't work

  • Minor rust at the front (see pictures)

  • Webasto heater fitted but functionality not tested/inspected

  • A couple of small stone chips in the windscreen

Defects and other observations

During a short test drive we made the following observations:

  • Starts without issues and the engine sounds healthy

  • Gearbox works

  • Doesn't pull to either side

We have not carried out a technical condition inspection nor tested the functionality of all equipment. The vehicle may have hidden defects that we did not detect during the test drive and inspection. The car can be test-driven and inspected on site.
