ABOUT IONISATION:
Negative ions produced into indoor air cause light, positively charged particles to clump together; the resulting larger and heavier particles fall out of the breathing zone quickly.

Negative ionisation also breaks down volatile organic compounds in the air that are harmful when inhaled. Toxic compounds produced by many microbes, which mix into indoor air as aerosols (microbial volatile organic compounds), form a significant health hazard if they reach the lungs and bloodstream. Heavy microbial toxins that are not airborne cause harm mainly via spores, which are the producers of these dangerous toxins.

The effectiveness of ozone (O3) and negative ionisation is based on high concentrations.

When a unit produces negative ions as well as ozone, the effectiveness compared with ozone alone is 5–10 times better, and high concentrations remove spores and odours effectively even from porous materials such as upholstery and bedding.

Fine particles in indoor air present a serious health risk in homes and workplaces.

Harmful fine particles travel with inhaled air to the lower parts of the lungs (alveoli) and then into the bloodstream, causing serious health problems in addition to asthma and allergies.

Ozonation combined with negative ionisation cleans harmful fine particles from indoor air and also removes bacteria, moulds, viruses and various gases.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation work especially effectively in a positively pressured building.

    Ozone and negative ionisation together form compounds that can effectively remove microbial spores and various odours, for example sewer gases, smoke smells, bacterial and mould toxins, and persistent cooking and tobacco odours.

    Ozone and negative ionisation also remove fine particles and MVOC (Microbial Volatile Organic Compound) and VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) substances.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation create a pleasant, easy-to-breathe indoor air; it is healthy to occupy such clean spaces.

    Ozone and negative ionisation together produce very clean indoor air also suitable for workplaces.

Indoor ozonation cannot be performed while people are present because ozone is produced at high concentrations to destroy microbial spores. The combined effect of high ozone concentration and negative ionisation achieves good cleaning even of porous materials. After purification the ozonated space should be ventilated before occupants return.
