ABOUT IONISATION:
Negative ions produced into indoor air attach to lightweight, positively charged airborne particles, causing them to form larger, heavier clusters that settle quickly out of the breathing zone.

Negative ionisation also breaks down volatile organic compounds in the air that are harmful when inhaled. Toxic compounds produced by microbes — microbial volatile organic compounds — pose a serious health risk if they reach the lungs and bloodstream. Heavy microbial toxins that do not mix into the air cause harm mainly via spores, which are the producers of these dangerous toxins.

The effectiveness of ozone (O3) and negative ionisation is based on high concentrations.

When a device produces negative ions as well as ozone, its effectiveness is 5–10 times better than ozone alone, and high concentrations remove spores and odours effectively even from porous materials such as sofas and bedding.

Fine particles in indoor air pose a serious health threat in homes and workplaces.

Harmful fine particles enter the bloodstream via the alveoli and cause serious health problems in addition to asthma and allergies.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation are especially effective in a positively pressured building.

    Ozone and negative ionisation together create compounds that can efficiently remove microbial spores and various odours — for example sewer gases, smoke smells, bacterial and mould toxin odours, and stubborn cooking and tobacco smells.

    Ozone and negative ionisation also remove fine particles and MVOC (microbial VOC) and VOCs (volatile organic compounds) from the air.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation produce pleasant, easy-to-breathe indoor air — a clean environment that is good for people.

    Ozone and negative ionisation together provide very clean indoor air for workplaces as well.

Indoor ozonation cannot be performed while people are present, because ozone is produced at high concentrations to destroy microbial spores. The combined effect of high ozone concentration and negative ionisation achieves good cleaning results even in porous materials. After treatment the space is ventilated and occupants may return.
