AUCTION TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR HUUTOKAUPAT.COM AUCTIONS

Please note that this is a translation of the Finnish language version of the Auction Terms and Conditions for Huutokaupat.com Transactions. In case of any discrepancies between the Finnish version and this English version, the Finnish version shall prevail.

Huutokaupat.com (i.e. Mezzoforte Oy; company registration number 2004568-7) applies these Auction Terms and Conditions to all auctions advertised on the Huutokaupat.com service in which Huutokaupat.com acts as the seller of the auction item itself, regardless of who acts as the auction publisher of the auction item. When Huutokaupat.com acts as the seller in an auction, it assumes the seller’s liability in accordance with the Huutokaupat.com Terms and Conditions of Sale.

1. Participation in the auction, placing bids, and binding nature of bids

• You may participate in an auction electronically on the Huutokaupat.com website after registering and accepting the terms of use.
• Every bid submitted via the Huutokaupat.com service is binding until a higher accepted bid is submitted in the auction. Once the auction has ended, only the highest bid is binding. The terms and conditions regarding the statutory right of withdrawal can be found in the Terms and Conditions of Sale.
• Huutokaupat.com reserves the right to accept or reject the highest bid submitted, unless otherwise stated in the listing. Huutokaupat.com endeavours to notify the bidder of the acceptance or rejection of the highest bid as quickly as possible. If the highest bid is not accepted or rejected within two (2) working days of the auction closing, the bid is no longer binding on the buyer.

2. Terms relating to the completion of transactions

• Unless otherwise stated in the auction listing, title to and possession of the auction item shall pass to the buyer when:
  
  i) Huutokaupat.com has notified the buyer that it accepts the bid;
  ii) the buyer has paid the purchase price in accordance with the instructions provided by Huutokaupat.com; and
  iii) the buyer has received confirmation of the payment made and that the transaction has been completed.
• Huutokaupat.com accepts no liability for situations in which the buyer concludes a transaction directly with the auction item’s auction publisher or any other party other than Huutokaupat.com.

3. Other terms

• Participation in an auction without the intention to purchase is prohibited, and Huutokaupat.com reserves the right to remove bids which it suspects have been made for reasons other than the normal conduct of business.
• In addition, each auction is subject to the terms and conditions of sale set out and/or referred to in the relevant listing, as well as the Terms and Conditions of Huutokaupat.com in force at the time, which also contain provisions and limitations regarding Huutokaupat.com’s liability.

Huutokaupat.com reserves the right to amend these auction terms and conditions at any time. The version of the auction terms and conditions that was displayed on the Huutokaupat.com website at the start of the auction shall apply to each auction.

These terms and conditions shall come into force on 28 January 2026.
