Auction Terms and Conditions for Huutokaupat.com Transactions

Please note that this is a translation of the Finnish language version of the Auction Terms and Conditions for Huutokaupat.com Transactions. In case of any discrepancies between the Finnish version and this English version, the Finnish version shall prevail.

Huutokaupat.com (i.e. Mezzoforte Oy, business ID 2004568-7) applies these Auction Terms and Conditions to all auctions listed in the Huutokaupat.com service where Huutokaupat.com is acting as the seller of the listed item.

1. Taking part in an auction, placing bids, and binding effect

• Auctions may be participated in electronically on the Huutokaupat.com website after registration as a user and acceptance of the terms and conditions.
• Each bid placed through the Huutokaupat.com service is binding until a higher bid is placed and accepted in the auction. At the end of the auction, only the highest bid is binding. The terms pertaining to the statutory right of withdrawal can be found in the Terms and Conditions of Sale.
• Huutokaupat.com shall have the right to accept or reject the highest bid submitted, unless otherwise specified in the listing. Huutokaupat.com shall aim to give notice of the acceptance or rejection of the highest bidder as soon as possible. If the highest bidder is not accepted or rejected within two (2) weekdays of the auction closing, the bid shall no longer be binding on the buyer.

2. Terms relating to the conclusion of transactions

• Unless otherwise specified in the listing pertaining to an auction, the rights of ownership and possession of the item comprising the subject of the auction are transferred to the buyer when:
  i) Huutokaupat.com has given notice of its acceptance of the bid;
  ii) the buyer has paid the purchase price to Huutokaupat.com in accordance with the provided instructions; and
  iii) the buyer has received confirmation of their payment and the conclusion of the transaction.
  Huutokaupat.com shall not accept any responsibility regarding situations where a buyer completes a transaction directly with the seller of an item or some other party.

3. Other terms

• Participating in an auction without the intent to purchase is prohibited, and Huutokaupat.com reserves the right to remove any bids that it suspects to have been made for reasons other than engaging in normal trade.
• Each auction is also subject to the sales terms specified and/or referred to in the listing pertaining to the auction as well as the Terms and Conditions of Huutokaupat.com in force at each time, which also comprise stipulations and restrictions concerning the liability of Huutokaupat.com.

Huutokaupat.com has the at any time to amend these terms and conditions. Each auction is subject to the version of the terms and conditions that was available on the Huutokaupat.com website at the start of the auction.
