MEGAFIL® 236 M is a seamless metal-cored wire producing weld metal of the 1.25% Cr / 0.5% Mo type.

It is primarily intended for creep-resistant steels of corresponding composition, used in power plants at operating temperatures of up to 550 °C.

The wire is also suitable for use in the chemical and petrochemical industries, where resistance to hydrogen damage and stress corrosion in sulphurous environments is required.

The weld metal has a diffusible hydrogen content of less than 4 ml / 100 g, improving the fracture resistance of the weld.

Applications: pressure equipment (Mo steels, operating temperature up to 500 °C), steam boilers and turbines, petrochemical plants, steel structures, etc.
