Almost unused Mariner 9.9 hp outboard motor (= same as Mercury) and a Leija 400 fibreglass boat.


The boat is 4 m long, originally built strong and from thick fibreglass. Over the years, someone has painted the boat on the outside and partly inside as well. The oarlock mounting points have been reinforced, but would benefit from some tidying up. A section of the edge fold at the bow has also been worn away. A boat with a keel strip; all attachment points have been replaced with acid-resistant steel. The screws in the renewed small transom plywood are also acid-resistant. The white paint beneath the plywood was removed with paint stripper, revealing the original yellow colour.

Rough boat, but usable as it is.


Primarily selling the hand-started Mariner 9.9 outboard motor, as it was left almost unused when a larger boat was quickly put into service. Thus, the motor has seen very little time in the water. A tank, manuals and other items belonging to the motor that are not visible in the pictures are included.

So, with a reasonable winning bid for the motor, the Leija is included as well. The current recommended price for an equivalent Mercury motor appears to be €2,675.

The boat trailer or motor stand shown in the pictures is not included in the auction, but may be purchased separately. Both of the above-mentioned items have been used exactly once.


The buyer must call to arrange collection; collection by 15 November 2026! Alternatively, ask about the possibility of inexpensive storage until the next boating season!

The outboard motor is in near-new condition.

The boat is a branded boat; restoring it will reveal the original classic.
