Good BMW coupé from its second owner. The first owner used it as a runabout for 20 years. Driven only 168,000 km; cars like this with such mileage are increasingly rare.

Equipment and condition:

  • Two sets of alloy wheels, summer and friction winter tyres

  • Interior generally tidy

  • Mechanically good, although the alternator is weak and must be replaced

  • Excellent driving comfort

Important information:

  • Airbag recall: the vehicle is subject to a manufacturer airbag recall, and without the repair it will fail its roadworthiness test. A new airbag has already been ordered, and replacement is completely free of charge to the buyer. An authorised BMW service centre will carry out the replacement under the recall.

  • The alternator is faulty and requires replacement.

  • Bodywork: the outer panels have some defects and the wheel arches require welding.

Otherwise, a good, drivable car that can be brought into condition with reasonable repairs.

Stored for a year in a heated garage while awaiting the airbag. Replacement has been agreed with an authorised BMW service centre.

Defects and other observations

Defects are listed in the description. This is an old car, and a BMW at that. Some photos are old, particularly the winter photos, and the arches really do require welding and painting!
