A dash camera is an unobtrusive accessory for recording traffic situations through your car’s windscreen. Car cameras are designed not to require any particular attention from the driver while driving.

The device, equipped with a wide-angle lens, independently records and saves moving video of everything visible ahead. The camera starts automatically as soon as power is connected and the vehicle moves off, and switches off when the car’s power is turned off. A windscreen camera can also be useful in possible collision and dispute situations.

A car camera, or dashcam, is mounted on the car’s dashboard or inside the windscreen to record events while driving. It provides valuable evidence in unclear situations, such as collisions.

Some people also use a car camera to record road-trip videos, as a camera with a sufficiently wide lens conveniently captures scenery during the journey.
