Zipper Stump Grinder, 2024, Lahti

Good and handy stump grinder for removing tree stumps. The swivelling carriage makes it easier to move around the stump, without having to turn the wheels against it.

The machine was purchased from Veistokone in August 2024. The oil has always been changed twice a year, most recently in July. The blade bearing housings were renewed this autumn. Spare parts are readily available from IKH, as parts for Tarmo grinders are largely compatible with this machine.

The largest stumps I have ground with this machine have been approximately 1 m in diameter. There are signs of use, including a welded silencer; the machine has otherwise also been used.
