Nissan King Cab, 2005, 2.5 l, Diesel, 133 hp, Manual, 113,200 km, For repair

Known issue: the engine bearings were replaced as a precaution before failure at approx. 57,000 km, with ARP bolts and heavy-duty bearings. The workshop stamp for this is in the service book, as are stamps for nearly all servicing.

The vehicle is in excellent condition apart from a warning light that occasionally remains on after starting. For over 2,000 km, it has gone out after 2–8 restart attempts; the vehicle then operates completely normally and is still used daily.

The light has not come on while driving.

Otherwise, everything works and the vehicle has been very well cared for and serviced.

Also included is a used spare-part pump with its electrical box.

Fault code and explanations:

2005 Nissan King Cab D22, fault code 0075 P-5 pump C/module

• Pump unit (electronics) fault: The control unit on top of the injection pump heats up in the engine compartment, and its internal solder joints or transistors fail over time. This is a very typical age-related issue with these pumps.

• Wiring harness or connector fault: The wires leading to the pump may chafe, corrode or have their insulation deteriorate due to heat, causing a short circuit or an open circuit.

• Air in the fuel system: The D22 is exceptionally sensitive to air leaks in the fuel line (for example, a rusted pipe on top of the tank or a poor filter). A prolonged air problem may cause the injection pump to overheat, as diesel acts as the pump’s coolant.

I do not have the physical or financial means to repair this, so I am selling it to someone better equipped.
