Registration is required to participate in the auction. The National Enforcement Authority Finland is not responsible for the functionality of the service provider’s system. The highest bid is the bid accepted as the highest by the service provider’s system. The enforcement officer will separately decide whether to accept or reject the highest bid within seven working days of the online auction ending. Acceptance of the bid and payment details will be notified to the buyer separately.

Bids are made for the purchase price, which does not include amounts payable by the buyer under the Housing Companies Act (see the sales brochure section on obligations and rights transferred to the buyer for further details). The buyer must pay the housing company’s receivables directly to the housing company; the purchase price paid to enforcement does not reduce them in any respect.

Bids submitted in the online auction are binding. If a bid is accepted, the bidder is obliged to pay the offered purchase price within the agreed payment period. Failure to pay the offered purchase price may result in the buyer’s liability for compensation under Chapter 5, section 25 of the Enforcement Code.

The enforcement authority reserves the right to end the sale or extend the bidding period.

Payment terms: The buyer must immediately pay a deposit of EUR 5,000.00 into the National Enforcement Authority’s official account. The deposit cannot be paid by credit card. If the highest bid is accepted, up to six weeks may be granted for payment of the balance of the purchase price, if necessary. If no extension is used, the purchase price must be paid without delay after acceptance of the bid. If an extension is used, annual interest on the full purchase price must be paid under section 3(2) of the Interest Act for the entire payment period, from the date of sale until the end of the payment period.

Appeal: An enforcement appeal against the sale or an act related to or preceding the sale must be filed within three weeks of the sale. Instructions for appeal will be attached to the sale decision.
