Pros:

Inspection valid until August 2027, oil and filter changed, good windscreen. Cruise control (works), tidy interior. Roadworthy. Plenty of diesel in the tank. Hi-fi sounds quite good. (Pioneer) Mercedes engine. Tow bar

Cons:

Rust has been unattractively repaired, and there are scratches and other wear on the exterior. Tyres are nothing to boast about. Oil is probably leaking from the filter housing. (Can be driven but must be repaired.) Front passenger-side lower ball joint knocks.

Here is a rather rough Rodi-fronted temporary car that has completed this month's duties, for the next owner.

Worth saving while it is becoming quite rare, but it needs work.

Defects and other observations

Leaks oil and the passenger-side lower ball joint has play. The body is not as tidy as in the pictures. (Lots of marks on the exterior.) The summer tyres may be barely road-legal, but they are slippery.
