BMW 525, 2007, Laukaa

I have owned the car for almost 9 years/100,000 km. An untouched example; the kilometres have come from commuting, and it has been cared for like a hobby car. It has now been off the road for around 4 months and remains so, having only been driven to its inspection in between.

Works flawlessly and drives as it should.

New summer tyres bought last summer; good studded winter tyres. Both sets are on original wheels.

Front springs were replaced last summer and the cylinder head was refurbished—not due to a failure, but the valve stem seals and exhaust-side lifters were replaced. The head was sent to a machine shop, where the surface was machined for a new gasket and it was inspected and cleaned. Works very well.

Various work has been carried out over the years, including shock absorbers and brakes. When I bought it, the gearbox oil was changed at a workshop by flushing. No warning lights are on. The only issues are that someone dented a door in a car park; it was painted with a spray gun, but the result was unsuccessful, with dust and orange peel. Beginning rust on the lower edge of the boot lid, not serious. I cannot think of anything else apart from cosmetic matters. The reason for selling is that I bought a diesel for commuting.

Also, just before taking it off the road, the Castrol Magnatec oil and filter were changed; it has been driven perhaps 500 km since.

The repair request shown in the photo concerned the gear knob, which has been replaced with an intact one; it is therefore in order.

The air conditioning was recharged last summer and blows very cold. However, the compressor or freewheel makes a little noise, but it works well.

On 23 August 2026, a new AGM battery was fitted; the battery replacement has not yet been registered in the car's system. Receipt for €200 available. The starter motor has also been replaced; receipt for €150 available. Driven 500 km without problems on 23 August.

This is not a new car, which must be understood: there are signs of use and wear, although it is tidy for its age.
