Aqua KH+ (500 g) is specially developed to increase and stabilise the carbonate hardness (KH) of water in ponds and aquariums. Enriched with bicarbonates, the product helps stabilise pH and prevent sudden fluctuations that could stress fish and aquatic plants. Suitable for both freshwater and saltwater environments, Aqua KH+ ensures ideal conditions for a healthy and balanced ecosystem while preserving beneficial filter bacteria.

Aqua KH+® strengthens bacterial action, improves biological filtration, helps sludge mineralisation and causes phosphate precipitation, clarifying the water.

The ideal KH value is 4 °dH-7 °dH; below 4 °dH the pH value fluctuates and poses a risk to fish health; above 7 °dH the water reacts alkaline.
-25 g/m³ increases the dKH value by 1 unit for 24 hours.
-Rainwater and drought naturally lower the KH value.
A value that is too low is harmful to plant and fish filtration and development, causes pH instability; the uptake of beneficial bacteria and minerals (calcium, magnesium) by fish is disrupted.

Instructions for use
Measure the current KH of the water. Add 10 g of Aqua KH+ to raise the KH value by 1 °dH per 100 litres of water. Dissolve the powder in a container with aquarium or pond water before adding it gradually to the pond or aquarium. Wait 2 hours and measure the KH again. Repeat if necessary in small doses. Do not raise KH by more than 2 °dH per day to avoid stressing the fish.
