The car was originally imported from California, and it has been converted to a European look by changing to euro bumpers and lights. The USA-spec emissions equipment and catalytic converters have been removed.

The engine has had a major, thorough overhaul. In addition, the car has had a great deal of other refurbishment, servicing and smaller fixes. I’m happy to provide more details on the work done, and there are also receipts/repair records for the parts that have been retained.

It is powered by a 4.5-litre V8 with K-Jetronic and a 3-speed automatic transmission.

• Interior trim missing in the boot

• Air conditioning does not work

• Scratches in the boot lid paintwork

So this is not a new car or a finished museum-quality showpiece, but a enthusiast-owned R107 with a lot of expensive and major work already done to the mechanicals. It is a good basis for continued enjoyable motoring.
