BMW 525, 2007, Laukaa

I've had the car for almost 9 years / 100,000 km. An unmolested example, with the mileage from commuting and kept like a hobby car. It has been in storage for about 4 months now and still is, only used for inspection in between.

Runs flawlessly and drives as it should

New summer tyres bought last summer, good studded winter tyres, both on original rims

Front springs replaced last summer and the cylinder head was repaired, not because of a failure but because the valve stem seals and exhaust-side lifters were replaced. The head was taken to a machine shop, the mating surface was machined for the new gasket, and it was checked and cleaned there. Works great.

Over the years, a lot has been done: shocks, brakes, and when I bought it the transmission oil was changed at a workshop by flushing. No warning lights are on. The only issues are that someone dented the door in a car park and it was then painted with a spray gun, but the paint job was not successful; there is dirt and orange peel. There is early rust starting at the lower edge of the tailgate, nothing serious. I can't think of anything else besides cosmetic issues; the reason for selling is that I got a diesel for commuting.

Oh, and just before putting it into storage, Castrol Magnatec and a filter were changed, driven perhaps 500 km since then

The warning on the picture was for the gear lever knob, which has been replaced with an intact one, so that is fine.

The air conditioning was recharged last summer and blows very cold, although the compressor or freewheel clutch makes a slight noise but works well.

On 23.8.26 a new AGM battery was fitted, the battery change has not yet been registered in the car with a diagnostic tool. There is a 200 € receipt, and the starter motor has also been replaced, with a 150 € receipt. Drove 500 km without issues on 23.8.

This is not a new car, that must be understood; there are signs of use and wear, but it is still tidy for its age.
