Volkswagen Golf, 1991 Museum Vehicle, Kalajoki

NOTE. Museum vehicle — the car was bought in the summer, but has been driven very little due to a changed life situation. This is a good and tidy car for the next user!

The car is in excellent condition, museum registered, insurance €38.94 per year and no other charges or driving restrictions. For anyone wanting to drive the cheapest vehicle in Finland, this is just for you. The four-point injection ensures smooth running, unlike a carburettor engine, and fuel consumption is low. I can say this much: when I picked it up and tested it on the way home, it reached 150 km/h actual speed — I would not have believed it from such a small engine.

The interior is 100% intact and clean, a rarity: the original radio can be removed with the handle, see pictures, and it also appears to have been serviced in 2022 in Lappeenranta.

The exhaust appears to be half new

There are no leaks or seepage of any kind in the engine

The gearbox is in top condition, no howling or rattling

The clutch is completely normal and the gears engage nicely

Original paintwork, with some minor wear here and there, but the car has now passed museum inspection again and is in acceptable condition

Next museum inspection in 2030; if properly cared for, it will pass again. First museum inspected in 2022, so this is an experienced veteran

The boot is also in fine condition, see pictures. The underbody has not been welded either, as the textured coating is visible and there are no detachments at the edges, so no water has gotten in between

This is truly a one-off, and has been carefully kept, as the interior really shines no matter where you look.

The owner's manual is a substantial 156 pages. There is no service book, but there were papers when I bought it

The timing system can be guaranteed in the sense that in this model nothing breaks even if the belt snaps

The summer tyres are excellent, and the winter tyres also comfortably meet legal requirements (would you even want to drive this in winter?)
