We made the following observations:

• The car feels mechanically sound. It drives well, tracks straight and there are no extra noises from the suspension. The engine sounds good and power is intact. The clutch works normally and the gearbox operates as it should. The brakes work well, with no unusual vibrations. Inspected on 19.3.2026

• Downside: an oil leak from the timing side, exact source cannot be located. The engine has been used, but no spurting oil leak was observed. Some residue may be old if not thoroughly washed. Oil leak at the lower front right and left side of the engine, at the junction of the sump and timing cover seams. Leaking from somewhere above. Possibly the timing cover is leaking. Leaking between the exhaust-side VVT wheel cover. Oil found on the oil filter housing/cooler, but not leaking down as far as the underside. The junction of the oil sump and timing cover and the VVT wheel cover were washed and the car was run. No leak was observed. Oil sump bolts that were easily accessible were tightened.

• Although this is not the latest-generation Astra, it will be a sensible everyday car for the next owner once the oil leaks are fixed.

The car has not undergone a technical condition inspection by us and the functionality of all equipment has not been tested. The car may have hidden faults that we did not notice during the test drive and inspection. However, we disclose all issues known to us for all cars.
