Now for sale: a high-quality German-made Humbaur FTKA2700 braked Category 02 car trailer, hot-dip galvanised and galvanised, with a very strong and stable structure, with tipping bed!

I am selling the car trailer I bought new in 2022.

The trailer bed is a really optimal size (4 m x 2 m). The placement of the wheels under the bed makes the trailer handy in width, as the wheels do not extend beyond the bed, while the length is ideal for transporting both larger cars with a longer wheelbase and smaller passenger cars, yet keeping the overall trailer length reasonable and making it easy to manoeuvre even in tight spaces.

The front axle of the car being transported can, if needed, be driven right to the front edge of the bed depending on the vehicle, bringing the weight distribution further forward and allowing the lower front bumper of a low car to sit over the drawbar without issues.

The handy tipper allows the small ramp angle needed for loading low cars onto the ramps and then onto and off the bed.

The bed has 5 cm high sides at the front and on the sides, and centre filling, also making it easier to transport other cargo in addition to cars.

The trailer is in as-new condition, free of dents, and washed underneath and on top after every use. It has only been towed about 20 times, estimated at about 1,000 km, so the tyres and overall condition are as new, apart from a few scratches on the bed caused by normal use.

The trailer inspection is valid until 31.12.2027 and it has been inspected in the listed condition with the accessories shown.

Accessories and other modifications (only stainless-steel parts used in the modifications, and all electrical wiring sleeved and joints soldered with tin):

- Original jockey wheel (included) replaced with a Teopart adjustable support leg, allowing a long-nosed low car to be loaded over the drawbar right to the front of the bed.

- All spring clips on the trailer replaced with stainless split pins that will not open due to vibration.

- Centre filling of the bed with plywood.

- Aluminium storage box

- Winch bracket that can be quickly moved to either side of the trailer depending on the towing point of the vehicle being loaded, allowing a straight pull.

- High-quality Knott winch, 1,150 kg, with 10 m and 6 mm cable, hand crank, spring-loaded, 2 gear ratios for different speeds and a locking pawl (ratios 4:1 & 8:1. This has been used to pull a 2-ton car on board without issue.

- Additional LED reversing lights at the rear and a powerful LED work light on the drawbar + IP68 switch panel.

(The work light can be switched on with one button as a reversing light together with the rear lights, and with another button all three lights can be lit simultaneously as work lights).

- LED marker lights in the rear corners make it easier to judge the rear of the trailer when reversing in the dark, and 4 yellow LED marker lights on the sides (last photo).

- 3 m E-approved reflective tape.
