This slightly wider alder bench board is an excellent choice for sauna benches, as it withstands temperature changes without cracking.

It retains its dimensions and also resists moisture and heat well. The smooth alder benches feel pleasant to sit on, as the surface does not get hot even in very hot sauna steam.

Popular alder has a warm, reddish colour and gives off a mild natural wood scent. If desired, alder can be treated as you wish, for example with paraffin oil.
