Mercedes-Benz GLK, 2009, Nurmijärvi

For sale Mercedes-Benz GLK, which has served us well and has been in normal daily use.

The car is comfortable and solid to drive, good for both everyday driving and longer trips. The 3.0-litre V6 diesel and automatic gearbox are Mercedes’ familiar, proven technology – these combinations have covered very high mileages. For its engine size and output, fuel consumption has stayed fairly modest, in my mixed driving usually around 7–8 l/100 km.

Service book available. The latest service was done by myself, so there is no service book entry for it.

The subframe was replaced by Vehon in the summer due to rust, so this typically expensive repair has already been done.

The car has an Eberspächer heater controllable by phone. It has been a bit temperamental at times, but has mostly started normally. There is also a neatly installed LED auxiliary light at the front, which adds good visibility for night driving.

It comes with two sets of tyres. Two of the summer tyres have been replaced with new ones and the two older ones are still usable – in my driving they would likely last at least through next summer. The winter tyres are friction tyres and are still roadworthy.

There has been rust on the rear arches, which has been repaired and treated. However, it is possible that rust may start to reappear in the same areas over time.

The washer cover for the left headlight does not always return fully into place after washing and sometimes has to be pushed back by hand.

A small knock can occasionally be heard from the front left over a sharp bump. During the inspection, this was specifically asked to be checked, but no play or other clear fault was found. The noise may come from a bush, for example.

This is a used car, so it has normal wear and marks consistent with its age and mileage. The car is not described as new, but as an honest and well-serving everyday car for the next owner.
