Suzuki GSX, 2014, Järvenpää

Huhhuh! Now here's your chance to bid on a real treat! Namely, a one-owner Finnish bike Suzuki Hayabusa! You read that right: this motorcycle has been in the careful ownership of its first owner since new. The model hardly needs an introduction, but if the Hayabusa's legendary reputation has somehow passed you by, here are the key points. The 1340 cc, very powerful and torquey inline-four produces 197 horsepower and accelerates the bike to a top speed of around 299 km/h. At that speed an electronic limiter cuts the fun short, but the bike was originally designed specifically for performance in the 300 km/h class. In addition to its huge performance, the Hayabusa has also been praised for being comfortable for touring, and its timeless looks still turn heads on the road. And as this is a 2014 model, it already has Brembo Monobloc front brakes and an ABS system. This sets it apart from older Hayabusas and makes the bike more attractive from a safety perspective.

This particular bike is crowned by Akrapovic twin silencers. The sound is pretty much perfect: it doesn't roar, but rumbles low and deep, very pleasant to listen to (see the listing video). Included are the service book, two keys, the original exhausts and a cowl in place of the passenger seat. We have fitted a new battery. The only downside is that the bike fell over onto its side while stationary. There are therefore a few light scratches on the fairings; more detailed photos are in the listing. It has not been polished, which may have helped as well, but the marks really are not very noticeable.
