Engine fault and technical condition (sold as faulty):

The car showed a lack of power, and the cause was found to be a clogged particulate filter (DPF). During dismantling, the following was found:

• Turbo: The turbocharger is stuck.

• Oil circulation and bearings: The oil filter was opened and cut apart, and small metal particles were found inside (see picture). After removing the oil sump, the connecting rod bearing for cylinder 4 was taken off and showed wear marks (the other bearings were not dismantled or inspected).

• Repair needed: The lower-end bearings need to be replaced. However, the car’s own engine is fully repairable. No abnormal noise was heard from the engine by ear.

• Overall condition: Otherwise the car is roadworthy and the body is in tidy condition.
