During the test drive, we observed the following:

The car drives well and there are no deviations except difficult starting and smoke when cold.

All gears work, it brakes effectively, and the engine still has power. No warning lights.

Workshop investigated the poor starting and smoking.

Error codes read:

P0683 Glow plug control, exceeds reference range

P0380 Glow plug control, malfunction

P0301 Cylinder 1, injection quantity, exceeds reference range

P0103 Mass air flow sensor, implausible signal

• Battery found to be weak. Starts better after driving and when the battery is charged

• Engine is oily, especially at the front

• From above, it appears to have leaked from the valve cover and around the injectors

• At least one injector base seal is leaking and there is probably another fault in the injectors as well, because it smokes so much

• Engine oil smelled of diesel soot

• It is also worth changing the oil and removing the sump; there is soot in the oil now, which may block the oil pump pickup strainer

• Glow plugs checked, all intact

The vehicle has not undergone a technical condition inspection by us, and the functionality of all equipment has not been tested. The vehicle may have hidden faults that we did not notice during the test drive and familiarisation. However, we will disclose all known information about the vehicle.
