A striking shaft-drive Suzuki GS built into a cafe racer style last winter.


The rear section has been modified into a slimmer cafe seat shape, the frame and wheels have been powder-coated, and the tank has been spray-painted. Clip-ons, sporty riding position.


  • New piston rings and cylinder head gasket fitted to the engine.

  • Engine and final drive oils, as well as brake fluid, changed.

  • New front tyre, front wheel bearings and front brake pads fitted.

Defects and other observations

Although the bike is fully roadworthy, there are still a few minor things to sort out:


  • The new digital instrument cluster has been connected to the gear display and fuel gauge, but the speed sensor has not yet been connected.


  • The starter motor broke and would need replacing. This model still has a kickstarter, so it starts easily by kick-starting. -> a starter has been ordered and is expected to arrive around 25.8.


  • The valve cover gasket has started to weep; I will replace the gasket and change the starter before handing over the bike.


  • There is no brake light or licence plate light. Low beam, high beam, tail light and indicators work.
