Honda CB750K, 1981, 47,000 km, Lohja

Here is a fine and tidy original-condition Honda CB750K from 1981, with the original 4-4 exhausts still in place and in good condition.

Specs:

750 cc inline-four

77 hp / 9,000 rpm, 67 Nm / 7,000 rpm

Dry weight 233 kg

Odometer reading 47,000 km, previous owner rode it from 2007 to 2023 for about 10,000 km.

This summer it was brought back into riding condition after a few years in storage. The bike was with the previous owner for 19 years.

Done in July:

• New ignition coils, leads and plug caps

• Spark plugs replaced

• Clutch plates and springs replaced

• Engine oil and filter changed

• Front fork seals and oil changed

• Valve clearances adjusted

• Valve cover gasket replaced

• Carburettors cleaned and synced

• New floats and gaskets fitted to the carburettors

• Front brake calipers stripped and serviced

• Front brake master cylinder rebuild kit installed

• New front brake pads

• New brake fluid

• Instrument cluster bulbs replaced

• New carburettor intake boots fitted

• Battery replaced

• Cam chain tightened

The chain and sprockets are in good condition, the tyres still have plenty of tread but are from 2009. There is a small mark on the right-hand exhaust, probably caused by panniers.

Runs very well and pulls strongly from low down all the way up without complaint. The clutch basket rattles a bit on these as is typical, but the noise disappears completely when in gear and under load. It has been ridden about 400 km this summer; if you want it absolutely perfect, the carburettors may need a small final adjustment, but it runs very well as it is.
