The tub is made of polyethylene plastic and is completely seamless, very easy to keep clean and easy to use.

The complete delivery includes a stylish plastic lid with lifting handle that withstands snow loads, a large approx. 35 kW marine aluminium stove, drain tap and outlet pipe. The tub is insulated. The base has a 45 cm Styrofoam fill, so frost will not be a problem for bathers here. The outer cladding is made of domestic heat-treated pine (Lunawood). The pool package is 100% Finnish quality workmanship.

Hyvän Kaupan Paikka’s Classic Hot Tub is made in Finland down to the smallest particle. We are very proud of what comes off our production line, and we have been making this Classic Hot Tub model for years using the same proven method. The side panels arrive at the factory as long stock. They are cut to size and assembled into a panel, into which the previously glued insulation base from Sastamala by Jackon and the maintenance-free PE plastic pool moulded by Oulun PipeLife are fitted. The production line’s experienced hot tub specialists drill the drain hole in the base, the stove holes in the side and fit the hoses in place. Finally, the package is carefully tipped onto its side once more to install the drain pipe.

The Classic Hot Tub is delivered free of freight charges to its new happy owner, who only needs to have a water hose, firewood and fire-lighting equipment ready. The owner should also make sure that the hot tub is installed level so that the water does not settle unevenly in the tub. Installation instructions are included, but in practice the new owner only needs to attach the stove, placed on a level base, to the hot tub with hose clamps, screw the stove drain valve closed and off you go into the bath.

Improved seating comfort in a rotationally moulded pool – also for taller bathers

The maintenance-free, moulded PE plastic pool comes to us almost from next door, from Oulun PipeLife. In their factory, the rotationally moulded pool is formed from plastic granulate as the result of a precise process. The granules are placed in a mould and the mould rotates in an oven for an hour. After cooling, the pool is ready to be transferred to Hyvän Kaupan Paikka’s production line.

We have paid special attention to seating comfort in the pool design. The sides of the pool are not vertical, because a wedge-shaped insulating air gap has been left between the pool and the edge panelling, which is gentler on the bather’s back. The edges of our pools are on average higher than those of other manufacturers, so even taller bathers’ shoulders sink below the surface of the steaming hot bath water and their necks do not start to freeze. Seating comfort is top class and your legs will not be cramped in this hot tub, because despite the height the bench is not too low.

Super-efficient marine aluminium stove

The marine aluminium stoves included in Hyvän Kaupan Paikka’s hot tub package are made in Finland. The large 35 kW stove is not afraid of seawater, because it is suitable for both fresh and salt water. Carefully considered details in the materials make the stove a red-hot top product. Marine aluminium conducts heat excellently, the front plate of the stove is stainless steel and the glass door allows you to check the fire without opening the door. The stove package includes two metres of flue pipe and a rain cap, but if you want more pipe, a chimney protective grille or a spark guard, have a look at the accessory list.

Remember that chlorine is not recommended with marine aluminium, as chlorine starts to oxidise the marine aluminium. We recommend changing the water often enough and using active oxygen tablets (see accessory list). Active oxygen oxidises the water for about a day, after which the water can also be used for watering, as it contains no added chemicals and is also safer for children. Unoxidised water can easily start forming a slimy surface on the edges of the bath tub, but active oxygen prevents this process.

Easy maintenance with little effort

In the Classic Hot Tub, your backside will not freeze even when the ground is frozen. The 45 cm insulation layer in the base prevents the cold from reaching the bottom of the tub and helps keep the water warmer. The delivery includes a plastic lid that significantly reduces heat loss. A well-heated hot tub can be warmed up again the next morning with one load of wood.

There is also plenty of warmth in the heat-treated pine panels by Lunawood, which crown the appearance of the hot tub as the tub’s outer material. There is no need to do anything to the pine panels if you do not want to. Over time, the surface will naturally weather to a beautiful grey. If, however, you want to preserve the brown tone, apply wood oil to the surface once a year. The maintenance-free nature also applies to the plastic pool, since as there are no moulded seams, dirt cannot collect in any particular places. However, remember to keep the pool surfaces clean when changing the water. This is easy to do with normal cleaning agents. The most thorough users can occasionally clean the pool more aggressively, i.e. disinfect it, but remember to take proper care of wastewater disposal.
